Once Christopher Nkunku's injury was confirmed, Didier Deschamps chose his replacement for the RB Leipzig striker for the World Cup. The lucky one is the Eintracht Frankfurt player Ronald Kolo Muani.

The French National side announced this Wednesday morning that the Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani will come in for the injured Christopher Nkunku in Didier Deschamps' World Cup squad.

The 23 year old Frenchman is currently in Japan with his club, according to the French Football Federation is their statement, but will join the national side in Doha on Thursday morning.

Nkunku, 25 year old RB Leipzig man had to withdraw from the tournament after some twinges in the left knee after colliding with Madrid man Eduardo Camavinga on Tuesday during Didier Deschamps' World Champions' training session.

Later medical exams showed that the player suffered a twisted knee.
