Ronald Koeman was the hero of Johan Cruyff's 'Dream Team' in 1992. Cruyff's Barcelona side lifted Europe's biggest trophy at Wembley, thanks to a goal from Dutch defender Koeman in extra time to sink Sampdoria 0-1.
Fellow Dutchman Cruyff was highly influential in his management at Barcelona, with his implementation of 'total football' still massively influential to this day. His impact can be seen in managers such as Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola, and there is no doubt that Koeman himself has been hugely inspired by his compatriot.
Cruyff passed away two years ago, and Koeman, who now manages the Dutch national side, took to Instagram on Saturday to pay tribute to the icon.
"Two years since Johan Cruyff passed away. Lost but never forgotten," his post read.
