Ronald Koeman is gone, however, the worst might be yet to come as Barcelona and their now-former manager still have something to solve: the Dutchman's settlement payment.
According to his contract, the Barcelona legend should get 12 million euros as a redundancy fee. A significant amount of money that Barça is trying to reduce.
According to Lluis Canut for 'Tot Gira', the Catalan giants offered Ronald Koeman a reduced amount as compensation.
"During the first conversations between Koeman's agent and Barcelona's CEO a reduced amount has already been offered, I think that it was between seven or eight million euros", claimed Canut as he stated that Koeman wants his full settlement payment as stated in the contract he signed when he decided to leave the Dutch national team.
"That amount is far away from the 12 million that Koeman should be getting. He wants to get paid every single cent stated in the contract he signed back in the day", claimed the journalist.
Reports suggest that Barcelona and the Dutch manager will have a similar feud to Quique Setien's, whose settlement is still being paid.
