Luis Suarez left Barca via the back door. His war with Koeman and the club's delicate financial situation meant the Uruguayan moved to Atletico Madrid.
The Uruguayan faces his old club this Saturday and before that, he spoke to 'Sport' to analyse the latest situation at Barcelona where Ronald Koeman is on the verge of being sacked.
On his departure, he explained that it was because of a mixture of Koeman and Bartomeu. He said the Dutchman "looked down on him" and treated him "as if he were 15 years old". On Bartomeu, he lamented that "it was leaked that it was bad for the dressing room."
With Koeman about to be dismissed, Xavi Hernandez's name has appeared once again. Despite that, Luis Suarez advised the former Spain international goal.
"As a football fan and what he has done as a player, I don't think now is the moment to take over. He's intelligent and he knows about the difficulty of the club. He must wait for the moment. He has teammates at the club who will have to make decisions and it's going to be difficult," he said.
The Uruguayan forward believes Barca are suffering "a war which is hurting the players," on referring to the conflict between Koeman and Laporta.
On the game, he said that "if you give a team of their quality a chance, they can do well as they have lots of talent. "He also mentioned he would not celebrated if it he scored. "I've got lots of respect and affection for them."
