Ronald Koeman is hoping to recover from the scare as soon as possible. On 3rd May, the Netherlands coach was admitted to hospital with a heart problem.
But all of that is in the past now. The coach was discharged and he is now at home. Through a letter published on the Dutch FA website, he explained what happened.
"Last weekend was a bit of a shock, not only for me, especially for my family and friends. Fortunately, the doctors helped me quickly and marvellously so I'm very grateful," Koeman said.
Since he was admitted to hospital, he has kept on receiving nice words: "He was fantastic. Everyone supported me, I've received lots of messages from the world of football and also from unknown people. People helped me a lot and I'd like to thank everyone."
It was not easy, but it just ended up being a scare. "Now I feel as fit as a fiddle," Koeman concluded.
