It's hard to fit in better at a club than Jurgen Klopp did at Liverpool. Thanks to what he has achieved at Liverpool he has even made us forget about his spell at Borussia Dortmund, also of some greatness.
Liverpool won their first Champions League in more than a decade and were on the brink of winning the Premier League when the coronavirus pandemic started. But, beyond the trophies, which are important, Klopp had given the impression of building a team with expectations of lasting.
For that reason, at Anfield, they wish for him to continue at the team for many years. Something similar to what Sir Alex Ferguson did at Manchester United, where he was for more than a quarter of a century.
Klopp is under contract until 2024, but Liverpool apparently want to prolong it right now, although the German prefers to wait.
It's not that he isn't comfortable, but he wouldn't think twice about going back home to manage the German national team either. Joachim Loew is currently nearing his end as national team manager and Jurgen Klopp does not want to be tied down when the vacancy becomes available.
'Mirror' recalls that Klopp has already revealed to his inner circle that Liverpool will be his last team as a manager and that he would only manage a national team after. Time will tell if he is more like Ferguson or Wenger or Joachim Löw.
