Man City have suffered a major setback. They will have to do without Kevin de Bruyne for the next few matches after testing positive for coronavirus in Belgium. The news was revealed by manager Pep Guardiola in the pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday's game with Everton.
Although it is not confirmed what day he tested positive, given that he played on Tuesday night against Wales, he will definitely miss City's game with PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday as well as the Everton match. He will also be a doubt for the home fixture with West Ham the following Sunday.
"Unfortunately, Kevin got a positive covid test in Belgium and needs ten days," Guardiola told the media and so he will have to do without the Belgian. The Spanish manager also confirmed that Jack Grealish is unlikely to be available for the Everton clash on Sunday, but Foden could still play. He has a leg problem, but is "getting better."
Sunday's fixture at the Etihad kicks off at 15:00 CET and Man City are 2nd on 23 points while Everton are 11th with 15 points.
