In addition to analysing his time with fellow Chelsea player and possible Real Madrid signing Eden Hazard, Kepa chatted with the newspaper and did so to review several of the most important moments of his career.
He did not avoid the questions about that frustrated signing by Real Madrid a year and a half ago. "I don't see it as something bad. It was just another experience in my life and I had to go through it. I learned because everything happened to me," said the goalkeeper.
"It will serve me for the future. There was a lot of talk about me. Everyone was talking. Because of how I am as a person, I didn't want to talk until it was all over, but I wanted to make it clear. Those were the most difficult moments," insisted the now Chelsea goalkeeper.
Kepa also spoke of the now infamous episode at the Capital One Cup final, when he refused to be subbed and Sarri threatened to leave the bench.
"That happened. I'm not satisfied with what I did. We were all wrong. I learned and asked for forgiveness. That week was a hard one for me, I did not know what was happening, "he said about it.
And he said he's been getting along great with Sarri ever since: "I needed days of tranquility, of calm. But I fixed it with the coach. My relationship with him is fantastic. He's always had confidence in me. We talked about it and closed that chapter."
