After Arsenal's defeat to Leicester in the side's latest Premier League match, criticism of Mikel Arteta's management has been swift. Martin Keown, legend of the club, has spoken about the Spanish manager.
In statements to 'Stadium Astro', Keown commented: "They continue changing from one system to another and they did it with Emery. That's what I'd like to see now, the same formations, the same triangles, the same movements, the same associations, the same relationships".
He added: "If you keep changing it, you don't find the rhythm, and that's something I found in a very successful team. It was like putting on an old pair of trainers for a game. Everything was there. You passed it to the midfield, to Patrick Vieira, to Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry to the wing; it was three passes".
"If this is the way he wants to play, stick to it and try to get people to get the right messages and work on it. It was very static, the three strikers never moved from their positions, they were not available. This is a completely new project for the coach. I think he's the right man for the job at 100%, a super-bright coach and he's going to have setbacks," he said.
