The 2018 Champions League final will go down as history as the match where Karius had his worst night under the worst possible scenario. His bad match against Real Madrid marked his future.
The goalkeeper, after a year at Besiktas which he has come back early from, showed his willingness to remain at Liverpool despite knowing that he's hardly going to get any game time because Alisson is there.
"It makes no sense to say I'm leaving Liverpool for a worse club and I'm only number two there. But I'm not in a pressure situation at all, I don't have to change. I can accelerate in training at Liverpool. As the second-choice goalkeeper in England you know that you get your chances", he assured to 'Transfermarkt'
Karius is clear that he is "at the best club in the world". "I am fully aware that I am in a good position to be at Liverpool. I have great conditions there", he said.
The goalkeeper recalled that fateful night. "Since the Champions League final, some people have found pleasure in the mistakes. Some people don't understand or don't want to understand that it was because of a head injury and they laugh at my performance. I do not understand", he explained.
