Karanka's Granada beat Mallorca and Mou congratulates his disciple

Granada picked up three vital points last Saturday in Mallorca. The home side beat the Balearic side 2-6 to climb out of the relegation zone, a zone they are two points clear of with three games to go.

Karanka, who signed his first win as coach of the Andalusian side, was congratulated by Jose Mourinho. The Basque was the Portuguese's right-hand man during his time at Real Madrid.

"It's special to score six and go home with three points, and to return to Los Carmenes for the final against Athletic. Come on, my friend, great victory," said the message from the current Roma coach.

Karanka himself did not want to be less and thanked his 'mentor' for his words: "Thank you very much, Jose. We are still there. Congratulations to you too for another final (Conference League)".
