Juventus want Timo Werner to replace Mario Mandzukic

Mandzukic signed a new contract extension in Turin last year and his deal runs until 2020. However with the Croatian frontman now 32, Juve are understood to be planning for the long-term future.

Werner, 22, is said to have been identified as a replacement for Mario Mandzukic.

The RB Leipzig forward has already been courted by some of Europe's biggest clubs, with Real Madrid, Liverpool and AC Milan all interested in the German international's signature.

Italian newspaper 'Calciomercato' are reporting that Werner has been identified by Juventus as a strong candidate to be Mario Mandzukic's long-term replacement.
