Juventus are closely following the Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo, a player who has attracted serious interest from many of Europe's leading clubs. Premier League clubs, Arsenal and Manchester United are both linked to Grimaldo. The 23 year old left Barcelona in 2015 to join Benfica, where he has grown into one of the most exciting wing backs in Europe.
Benfica are rumoured to want 40 million euros for the Spaniard, but if a bidding war ensues, it is possible that his value can significantly increase, especcially given the nature of the clubs involved. Barcelona will be given a percentage share of whatever Grimaldo goes for, assuming he does depart the Portuguese club.
Juventus are looking to sign a left back and have been repeatedly linked with Real Madrid left back, Marcelo, however, it is no a doubt that Zinedine Zidane would allow him to go, making Grimaldo a top target of the Italian giants.
Grimaldo has played 39 times in all competitions for Benfica this season, scoring 7 goals and assisting 6 times.
