Strengthening the midfield and the backline. That is the double priority Juventus have set themselves for the summer. And they are already working on it in the offices of the Allianz Stadium.
La Gazzetta dello Sport' claims that 'Bianconeri' sporting director Federico Cherubini has travelled to London hoping to make progress on three signings. The Old Lady are keen on midfielders Paul Pogba and Jorginho as well as centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes.
The departures of Dybala and Chiellini will leave the team in trouble. Before that happens, Juventus want to secure some reinforcements.
In the case of Jorginho, they would already have the player's "yes". What remains to be done, however, is the most difficult: negotiate with Chelsea. His contract ends in 2023, so the 'blue' club has two options: either convince him to renew his contract or, if they do not want to sell him to Juventus, they risk losing him for free in a year's time.
The other option for the midfield is Paul Pogba. His contract with United is coming to an end and he will be released. He is one of the bargains on the market. PSG is one of his main competitors and is offering him, also according to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', 12 million euros if he signs for the Parisian club.
Finally, Gabriel Magalhaes. He is the favourite to fill the position left by Chiellini. He has a contract with Arsenal until 2025. The Turin club have already spoken to his agent, Bertolucci, but it remains to be seen how much the Gunners intend to ask for him.
It remains to be seen if this supposed business trip works out for Cherubini. Juve need to secure reinforcements and Premier League players seem to be their favourites.
