If Jovic had someone who defended him back home, the controversy generated by his behaviour in Serbia, where he has not respected the lockdown, has led even to his biggest supporters criticising the Real Madrid striker.
Not even the former Serbian coach Dragoslav Stepanovic, who ended up coaching Athletic Bilbao and Eintracht Frankfurt and has defended Jovic in the past, could defend him. This latest controversy has seen even Stepanovic turn against him though.
In comments to the Serbian media outlet 'Kurir', Stepanovic said: "He's the only player who does everything to ruin his career! Jovic works against himself." And the thing is Jovic also caused controversy for comments about donations made in Serbia.
"He was lucky Adi Hutter gave him an opportunity at Eintracht Frankfurt and then made the biggest transfer ever in Serbia and he went to Real Madrid. I can't believe what the guy is doing to himself," he added.

The reality is that Jovic keeps on getting himself into trouble and Stepanovic has given him a piece of advice. "It will be better form him to keep quiet. I can't believe he has done something like this."
"I read the media in Serbia and I know what life he had, that as a kid he was sleeping in his the car with his Dad to wait until morning to train. All the sacrifices he made and then this. I don't know, Luka obviously doesn't think the same. When you are told it's a ban, you are feigning you didn't understand anything," he concluded.
Criticism which comes after Berbatov had also criticised the Real Madrid man as well as several key figures in Serbia. One of them was the president, Aleksandar Vucic, who said that "if Jovic leaves his home, he will be arrested."
