Jota Peleteiro is a unique footballer. Retired before reaching his thirties, the former Alaves, Aston Villa and Brentford player, among others, has surprised by announcing his conversion to Islam.
Last week, Peleteiro travelled to Kuwait to complete his conversion, after he was delighted with the treatment received and the customs with his Kuwaiti friend Faisal Buresli, according to 'Al-Qabas'.
It was a year ago that the idea began to cross Peleteiro's mind after being with his "friend, business partner and brother".
Known for his romantic relationships after hanging up his boots in 2021, Jota Peleteiro has once again surprised the football world with his conversion to Islam.
