Enrique publically revealed his diagnosis last month, and that he had undergone surgery to have the tumour removed.
The Spaniard spoke to Liverpool's official website after his ordeal, explaining the symptoms he experiences before visiting neurosurgery specialists at St George's Hospital, London.
The 32-year-old former footballer turned agent, said that he began to have blurred vision and then double vision.
"I couldn't walk properly because I couldn't see and I started to get a little bit scared because of it," he said.
Enrique was told by experts that the tumour more or less affected one in a million people, and despite being non-cancerous, could still be dangerous due to it's position near main arteries.
He then underwent a seven hour surgery, which was undertaken through his nose, and was told by doctors that his vision may not be what he was used to following the procedure.
"It was scary and after I had the operation done it was a very, very bad time in the hospital, [as] my partner knows and my family," he said. "It's been a very, very difficult time since."
"I was in the hospital for a week and it looks like very little [time] but in that week it was a nightmare because you realise a little bit how many people are ill in that moment."
"It changes your life a bit, the way you think. After a week they sent me home but still with a lot of [issues]; I can't go downstairs by myself, when I go to the toilet I can't lift the lid, when I clean my teeth… It's silly things that in a normal life you do and you don't realise how easy it is to do it until you can't."
"I couldn't walk, if I do 10 or 15 minutes – it's a little bit more than that now - it was like I had played two games in a row! It was crazy, really, really tiring."
Enrique received a lot of support from Liverpool fans throughout the ordeal, as well as from current players and former teammates.
His recovery is going well so far, but he still has to endure 30 radiotherapy sessions in the coming months.
"I'm feeling OK, it depends on the day," he said. "Sometimes, because here the weather is nice for holidays but it's not the best for what I have because I cannot do too much, it's a little bit annoying but I'm just getting better day by day."
