The Italian international was thought to be joining Man City for much of the transfer window as Pep Guardiola made him one of his top transfer targets for the summer.
However, the player is reported to have preferred the option of living in London to the north-west of England, so instead chose to accept Chelsea's offer instead.
The midfielder has now arrived in the British capital ahead of completing the transfer to the 'Blues', but conceded that he will miss Napoli when he does complete the move to the five-time Premier League champions.
"I will miss Napoli very much after five years spent here… I remain forever bonded to this city," the player told 'CalcioNapoli24' before he jetted off to England.
Jorginho played 160 times in all competions for the Italian club, and was a key member of their squad as the narrowly lost out in the race for the Scudetto to Juventus last season.
This move will likely be followed by the unveiling of Maurizio Sarri as the new Chelsea boss, who will also be leaving Napoli, after reports have emerged that Antonio Conte has been dismissed from his role.
