One of the most shocking moves at Barca was the exit of Jorge Cuenca. He was forced to wave goodbye to the Azulgrana and he went to Villarreal, before being loaned out to Almería.
In the interview, the Catalan explained his departure: "I wanted to stay at Barca. I did the preseason with Koeman and was waiting to see what they would say.
"In the end the deal went through and it was a good option for me. I didn't get to talk to Ronald about my situation, but I was made to understand that I wasn't available for the first team," he added.
Finally, Jorge Cuenca stated that the financial aspect had a lot to do with it. "I never really knew if it was an economic or a sporting decision. I think it was financial," he concluded.
