Joao Félix sprains right ankle

Atlético Madrid have provided an update on Joao Félix's injury. The Portuguese has sprained his right ankle, so he will be out for several weeks.

It did not take long for bad news in the Wanda. With 80 minutes on the clock and 3 changes made, Joao Félix had to come off due to a strong pain in the ankle.

Atlético Madrid showed their worry right away. Simeone confirmed it to 'Movistar'. "I thought that Joao's injury was nothing, but the doctor told me it was serious", he said.

Thus, after the tests carried out in the Universidad de Navarra clinic, Atlético Madrid informed that Joao Félix sprained the external lateral ligament of his right ankle.

The injury will mean he misses at least 2 weeks. He will, therefore, miss the games against Bayer Leverkusen, Alavés, and it's doubtful that he will be back in time for the Sevilla game.
