In an official statement on its website, Real Madrid confirmed on Monday the nature and extent of James Rodriguez's injury.
The Colombian underwent some medical tests and it is now known that he suffered a sprain to his left knee ligament.
According to the estimation published by the club, James will be out of action for three weeks. This means he may return for the 'Clasico' between Real Madrid and Barcelona on the 18th December, at Camp Nou.
The Colombian was called up to play for his national team in this international break. However, the number '10' returned to the Spanish capital without being able to play and being submitted to several medical tests.
With the results now public, James will miss the games against Real Sociedad, Alaves and Espanyol. as well as the Champions League clash against PSG. He could reappear against Brugges on the 11th December or, with a bit longer out, against Valencia on the 15th.
