James Rodriguez: 'I will come back stronger'

James was not able to recover in time to face England and cheered his team on passionately from the sidelines. However, he could do nothing to stop England from sending the Colombian team home at the last-16 stage.

With tears streaming down his face, James Rodriguez had to accept that it was the end of his team's World Cup journey and return to his beloved Colombia. 

Now at home, the Bayern Munich player is doing everything he can to get back on the training ground as soon as possible.

The Colombian superstar knows that he needs to work hard to get back to fitness for the beginning of preseason with the German side, and has already started his recovery.

"Getting better, I will come back stronger" he wrote on social media, together with an image of him doing some recovery exercises.
