Jadon Sancho emerges as a new target for Atletico

Atletico Madrid continues to be one of the key players in the Spanish transfer market. After securing high-profile signings like Alex Baena and Johnny Cardoso, Diego Simeone's side may not be finished just yet. In addition to the potential arrival of Giacomo Raspadori, the club is now eyeing Jadon Sancho as the possible icing on the cake.
According to Sport1, Atletico are preparing a loan offer for the English winger, with a proposed fee of €5 million.
Manchester United are actively seeking to offload Sancho following an underwhelming loan spell at Chelsea, and Atletico see this as a valuable market opportunity to strengthen their attack.
However, the Rojiblancos won't have an easy path. Borussia Dortmund—where Sancho previously thrived—remain in pole position and could beat Atletico to the signing. Reports suggest the player is even willing to cut his salary by up to 30% to facilitate a return to the Bundesliga.
Sancho's contract with Manchester United runs until June 2026, meaning that for a loan to go through, a short-term extension may be necessary to avoid the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer.
