'It would help us if Messi said yes as soon as possible'

They are only talking about Leo Messi at the Camp Nou. His contract expires on 30th June and we still do not know what will be of his future after that date.
The Argentine right now is focussed on his team at the Copa America. And he is thinking about talking it calmly: he's focussed on matters on the pitch, the rest can wait.
But Barca would prefer to know what his plans are now. That is what Barca president Joan Laporta said in an interview with 'La Vanguardia'. "I'd like him to say yes as soon as possible, it would help us in every way. He's excited and I grateful to him because of how keen he is to stay."
He revealed that Aguero is doing his bit to persuade the number '10' to stay. "He's helping a lot. He's telling him every day to stay," Laporta continued.
The interview did not just talk about Messi. Laporta also revealed that "there will be three or four more signings."
On Koeman, he said. "I thought we were going to win the league and we lost it... I told Johan Cruyff that."
Laporta admitted that he is quite hurt by what is happening at the club. "Barca are worse than what I thought they were and I was expecting it to be bad. When I say this it's because there are some contracts which are affecting us a lot, I won't rule out taking any action," the president warned.
Finally, he sent a message tpo the squad: "There are drastic measures which we wouldn't like to take, but we can't rule out anything for the good of Barca. We have around 650 million euros in salaries, that is greater than the club's earnings. These salaries in the current climate are not feasible."
