FC Barcelona announced this Thursday the date of the elections to the presidency of the club, which will be on January 24. The date falls in the middle of the winter transfer market, something that could complicate the task of the club to incorporate new players, like the already known Depay.
"It will be difficult to intervene in the next window with the elections being on that date," admitted Jordi Farré, the promoter of the vote against Bartomeu, in an interview granted to 'RAC1', who added that it was chosen that day as it was 'as soon as possible'.
"Despite the difficulty of signing up, the important thing is that the ballot boxes are put in. We hope for maximum participation", he added.
It should be remembered that on 27 October Bartomeu resigned as President of Barça, so the reins of the Catalan club were taken by a Management Committee, in which Carles Tusquets is the head.
