Leo Messi is currently a free agent, so he could sign for any club without them having to pay a penny. Before the end of his contract with Barcelona, the Argentine was strongly linked with PSG.
In fact, 'La Parisien' said that the player's family told him to leave for the Parisian club, while 'AS' reported that PSG had already made him an offer around a month ago.
Well, his compatriot Paredes went on 'ESPN' to review the whole Copa America and was asked about how they saw and acted on these rumours in the dressing room.
"There was a lot of talk at the club when it came out that Leo could come to Paris. It was a dream that he could be with us next year, but well, it didn't happen," confessed the Argentine.
Paredes removed any possibility of seeing Messi at the Parc des Princes and president Joan Laporta again commented on his situation in the proclamation of the town of S'Agaró: "It's going well, in this market you have to juggle".
In view of the impossibility of having Messi at PSG, Paredes wished him all the best in his future and expressed that "I hope he enjoys playing wherever he plays".
On the Copa America, Paredes said that the whole group "enjoyed a lot during the 45 days" they spent together and that it was a "fantastic team, with incredible people and top level players".
