In comments to 'Mundo Deportivo', Correa only had good words to say about Messi, who is currently going through a difficult period at PSG. Oppositely, at international level he is enjoying his time as a recent Copa America winner.
"Of course I've seen it. They boo him and it's strange that they do this because of everything he signifies and has given to football fans. But he is enjoying his time with the national team a lot. He is happy and it's obvious in every match and training session", explained Correa.
Messi was booed at the start of PSG's match against Lorient this Sunday, but during the game, he scored once as the Parisians thrashed their visitors. Mbappe was the star of the game however, as he scored a brace and assisted the other three goals.
"The Argentinian group is an impressive one. For me, playing in the World Cup will be the best thing of my career. I look forward to it a lot and I hope it will go well for Argentina and we will be champions", added Correa, who hopes to be in the Argentina squad in Qatar.
Correa also equally praised his attacking counterparts at Atletico Madrid, with a special mention on Joao Felix who "is magic, pure magic" and who is enjoying his best period of his career.
"Every time he has the ball in the box, it's like he's got a magnetic foot, the calmness he has to finish", he said about Luis Suarez, before concluding on Griezmann: "He's a complete player, he can play in any part of the pitch and do it well".
