"It's one of the most beautiful passes I've ever made in my career"

Vinicius Junior, MVP of Real Madrid's 3-0 victory over Salzburg, stated this Thursday that the assist he provided for Fede Valverde's goal, which recalled Guti's legendary backheel for Karim Benzema, was one of the finest of his career.
"After I made the assist, everyone has been telling me that (the similarity to Guti's). I haven't seen the video yet, but it did remind me a lot of Guti, who was a legend of this club," he said in a press conference.
"I'm very happy with this pass: I think it was one of the most beautiful I've made in my career. And especially for Fede, who always encourages me a lot," he added.
Real Madrid thrashed Salzburg 3-0, secured their top spot in Group H, and will face Juventus in the round of 16.
Vinicius Junior was the MVP of the match, scoring a great goal and providing a backheel assist for Fede Valverde. The other goal was scored by academy player Gonzalo García.
"I feel that these two weeks (with Xabi Alonso) have been very good, where we are gaining confidence and trying to understand what the manager wants as quickly as possible," the Brazilian claimed.
'Vini' also spoke about the 5-3-2 formation used and said that playing centrally is something he already did with Carlo Ancelotti and that he has to adapt, although it "costs him a little more" due to his traditional position as a winger.
"I have to play a little more centrally. I've always liked it centrally because I'm closer to the goal, I can provide more assists and score more goals. The team is playing more compact, and that's helping us to attack and press better and have more of the ball," he explained.
