Isco returns for Madrid, Ramos sits out

Real Madrid have released their 19-man squad for their home league match against Celta Vigo. Isco makes a welcomed return to the fold but there is no place for Sergio Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo and Dani Carvajal.

Madrid welcome Celta Vigo to the Bernabeu on Saturday evening looking to beat city rivals Atletico to second place.

However, Zinedine Zidane's team will have to do it without talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, skipper Sergio Ramos and right-back Dani Carvajal.

Ronaldo is still recovering from an ankle injury sustained during the 'Clasico' with Barcelona on May 6 whilst Carvajal has been battling a hamstring problem since the Champions League first-leg victory over Bayern Munich.

There is some good news for 'Los Blancos' though. Isco appears to have finally gotten over a shoulder issue and will now be in contention to return to Madrid's starting XI.

It remains to be seen how many of his star players Zidane will risk against Celta Vigo with Ramos already rested, given their European final against Liverpool on May 26 is fast-approaching.

If he does decide to turn to youth, Marcos Llorente, Achraf Hakimi and Borja Mayoral could be given their chances to shine as their futures at the club remain increasingly unclear.

Here is the full 19-man list:

Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Kiko Casilla, Luca Zidane.

Defenders: Jesus Vallejo, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Theo Hernandez, Achraf Hakimi.

Midfielders: Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Casemiro, Marco Asensio, Isco, Mateo Kovacic.

Forwards: Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Lucas Vazquez, Borja Mayoral.
