Isco plans to stay at Real Madrid given recent opportunities

After a season which has seen him hardly play, the numerous injuries Real Madrid have suffered meant Zinedine Zidane gave Isco two starts in a row. The player was determined to leave, but he could now change his mind if he keeps on getting game time.

As BeSoccer Pro's numbers show, Isco Alarcon is going through his worst season since joining Real Madrid. He has played in 19 matches and has been on the pitch for 662 minutes.

But the Real Madrid squad have been hit hard by injured and Zinedine Zidane decided to play him against Atalanta in the Champions League and versus Real Sociedad in La Liga.

The Spaniard had two good matches and could once again play in the derby this Sunday against Atletico Madrid. This, according to 'AS', could affect his future.

Isco was willing to leave the club in the summer, but as he has been playing recently, he could change his mind.

He has a contract at Real Madrid until June 2022 and up to now, Real Madrid have not got in contact with him to talk about renewing his contract. That seems quite unlikely to happen for now.
