The winter transfer market closed on Friday. After signing Christian Eriksen, Inter went for Olivier Giroud, but the negotiations with Chelsea didn't come to fruition.
However, the soap opera doesn't seem to have finished, as several Italian media sources state that the club will go for the French forward in the summer market.
Inter also want to look after their own players, and for that reason, Giuseppe Marotta, Inter sporting director, is now working on the contract renewals of Lautaro Martínez and Sami Handanovic, according to the 'Corriere dello Sport'.
The striker's contract ends in June 2023 and Inter intend to increase the release clause of one of the best attackers in Serie A.
