The January transfer window is about close in the major leagues, but that does not stop clubs looking at getting footballers for the next time the window opens. The next one is in the summer and that is when Inter Milan are apparently wanting to sign Samuel Umtiti.
'TMW', a football website, revealed Inter Milan's interest in getting hold of the player. The plan is to look for a replacement for Diego Godin, who has still not fully adapted to Antonio Conte's formation.
Umtiti's future at Barcelona remains a mystery. The central defender wants to start, but his poor performances and his injuries did not make it easy for Valverde. However, he seems to be getting more game time under Setien. The player is rated highly amongst other clubs despite his lack of regular game time.
The Frenchman has started the two league matches Barca have played under Setien: versus Granada and at Valencia. Despite that, Inter are following him very closely. His Barca contract expires in 2023.
