Icardi, according to Italian press, will leave Inter Milan as soon as an appropriate offer arrives, but so far no club has come calling. But 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' affirms that there is a remote possibility that the forward could stay at the club, with Inter offering him a contract renewal until 2023 with conditions applied.
This contract extension would be preceded by an impeccable end to the season by the striker, although this seems unlikely given the current situation.
Icardi played his last minutes for Inter two months ago, on February 9, against Parma. The attempts of his wife and agent Wanda Nara to rejuvenate the relationship between club and player have not worked and Icardi has since been stripped of the captain's armband and left out of the squad altogether.
