If Lautaro leaves Inter before the market closes, he will do so for an exorbitant price tag. While it might not be as high as Inter had hoped for a few years back, it's certainly short of 70 million euros.
According to information revealed by journalist and transfer market specialist, Fabrizio Romano, Inter have received two offers of this amount. The first one came from Tottenham, the latest from Atletico Madrid.
The 'nerazzurri' have firmly rejected both proposals. They wouldn't be opposed to selling their striker, just not at that price. The club from Lombardy want more for the Argentine, despite the bonus in both offers taking them up to 90 million. Even Lautaro himself hasn't been convinced, after his agent confirmed he wanted to stay on.
It is from this point that Atletico have diverted their attention towards another striker, Dusan Vlahovic, in a deal they're a lot closer to completing. Talks are reportedly at an advanced stage, with the Spaniards offering Fiorentina the same sum of 70 million for their player.
