The rumour mill is painting Eriksen like a bargaining chip for Inter Milan, who were looking to reinforce their squad in the summer. The German press claims that he was offered to Bayern Munich.
Inter needed a centre-back and, according to 'Sport Bild', they had picked Bayern's Jerome Boateng. The problem was their economic situation this summer.
Inter tried throughout the summer, lowering the other club's demands with offers of players, and chosen, among others, Christian Eriksen.
But he didn't leave Inter that time around and although his relationship with Conte remains shaky, it seems that the ex-Spurs attacker will remain in Milan for the time being.
