Chong is 20 years old and is slowly carving himself a place in Manchester United this season, having played a total of eight games. The United academy product has caught the eye of several teams, including some of Europe's biggest names, and it seems that his reduced playing time could push him to look for another destination.
According to the portal 'CalcioMercato', Inter Milan has taken a step forward to try to convince Chong to sign with the Milanese club, although he would have to spend a season at Jiangsu, one of Inter's partners, before making the definitive move.
The aforementioned media also indicated that the footballer's agents are asking for two million euros in commissions if they are to accept Inter's advances and reject Juventus.
Chong's name was already linked to a big-money move this year when Barcelona reportedly came knocking on his door as a replacement for Luis Suarez, but they eventually back out of striking a deal in favour of one of their own, Ousmane Dembélé... Just as it's been announced he will be out for most of the season now.
