The 'Red Devils' have had a difficult atart to the season after rumours that Jose Mourinho's relationship with the board has signifiticantly deteriorated over transfer policy, as well as his poor relationship with Paul Pogba.
The season got even worse for Man Utd when they lost in embarrassing fashion against Brighton at the weekend, prompting the team's fans to be outraged.
"Other clubs and fans are having a field day at the minute, seeing what is happening at Man United. They're becoming a laughing stock and falling behind." the ex-United midfielder told 'Paddy Power'.
"They finished second last season, and will probably make the top four this year, but is that what they should be striving for? No."
Jose Moutinho has cut an ever-more frustrated figure in recent weeks, and will hope to get things back on track when his team face Tottenham on Sunday.
