Lionel Messi's Barcelona contract is close to ending. If the parties do not reach an agreement to extend it, it will expire in June 2021.
And while some take for granted that he will renew, others are equally as convinced that he will leave the Camp Nou. Dallas FC footballer Franco Jara was asked if he would like Messi to try his luck in the MLS and his answer was clear.
"If Messi comes to the MLS, I'll kiss his feet. It would be incredible, amazing...," he told '90min'. "Having him here would be crazy," he continued.
He thinks Messi could follow the path of other stars who wanted to give it a go in the United States. "The MLS brought Ibrahimovic, Higuain... Let's hope they also give us the opportunity to have Messi as well," he continued.
He also highly recommended him to go to America because of the calm lifestyle. "Here you can go to the supermarker in your pyjamas and nobody says anything. That's how it is... everyone does what they want. You can eat, go to the cinema and do what any normal person does.
