After suffering the blow of the UEFA ban, Manchester City are aware that in summer several of their stars could leave. One of them is Leroy Sane, who Bayern Munich have asked for over and over again.
The Bavarians want the ex-Schalke player to become part of the reconstruction of their side, but City will not make it easy. If he finally leaves, Pep Guardiola's side want something important in exchange.
According to 'The Sun', the Sky Blues have let Bayern know that their preferred option for Sane is Serge Gnabry, the 24 year-old winger. This season he is standing out for Flick's side. Bayern are starting to recover after a bad first half of the season.
The British media outlet understands that the clubs could reach an agreement on a swap which includes money. Bayern tried to get Sane in the summer, but his serious injury prevented them signing him. They will try again next summer.
In the meantime, City have tried again without success to renew Sane's contract. The two year Champions League ban given to them by UEFA makes things more complicated. The footballer's contract ends in 2021 so this move would be seen as good business at the Etihad Stadium.
