Zlatan Ibrahimovic has described the key difference between the Premier League and other top European leagues.
The 35-year-old moved to England for the first time in his career during the summer after spells in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and France, winning the league with all six clubs after leaving Malmo where he started his career.
Manchester United got back to winning ways on Sunday as they beat Tottenham to end their three-game winless streak and Ibrahimovic feels the Premier League is far tougher than other challenges he has faced.
"This is the Premier League, it's something new to me," he told MUTV. "Because every team I've played at we have been dominating competitions and controlling games.
"Here, it's back to front. I think, here, whoever does the less mistakes during the game is the team that wins."
United triumphed 1-0 over Tottenham thanks to Henrikh Mkhitaryan's fine first-half strike, three days after opening his account away to Zorya Luhansk.
Ibrahimovic is delighted the fellow summer signing is starting to prove his worth at United after initially struggling to break into Jose Mourinho's first team and underlined his importance in the squad.
He added: "He scored a fantastic goal in Ukraine and [on Sunday it was] a great goal. He is dominating in his role. Hopefully the injury is not as bad as it looks. He is important for us and that's why the team and coach bought him. I'm super happy for him."
Mkhitaryan was stretchered off midway through the second half with an ankle injury following a challenge by Danny Rose, though Mourinho said after the game that he does not expect the midfielder to miss more than two games.
