To talk about Emilio Nsue is to talk about one of many players who seemed highly promising and did eventually become successful footballers, but without ever becoming the star they were expected to become.
The Balearic footballer is currently playing for Apollon Limassol in Cyprus. He talked to 'Mundo Deportivo' about his beginnings and his time at Real Sociedad, where he was almost the mentor of a young Antoine Griezmann.
"My story with Griezmann was very beautiful because the club asked him to come and live with me for six months and he became my little brother," said Nsue.
"I made him food, I cleaned his clothes, I made his bed... He was like a little boy. I always thought he was going to be one of the best in the world," insisted the Cypriot Apollon player.
The versatile footballer said that the stage at Real Sociedad was the most beautiful of his career: "It is one of the places where I have been happiest. The Real will always be in my heart, is part of my life. I was 19 years old and we were a great team, we all contributed and that's why we won the league and got promoted".
