"I will try to become a manager, I like the idea more and more"

In a few days the long-awaited documentary about Andrés Iniesta will be released, so the player spoke to Spain's 'El Larguero' to promote it. The former Barca man explained, among other things, that he is beginning to feel strong temptations to move to the bench.
Iniesta analysed his current situation, but also that of his former team, Barcelona. He was questioned, for example, about the internal crisis that the club is experiencing. "I've lived through times that weren't easy," he began by saying.
"When something goes wrong, it's a snowball effecg. It's dangerous to have situations that are not sports-related and they take some time to resolve ," he added.
They asked him then if he would be supporting any specific candidate in the next elections, but the player declined to comment. "No, but I will try to play two or three more years, thinking about coaching now does not make sense."
"II won't hide the fact that I could return to Barcelona at some point in my life and when I am ready," said the player, making it clear that the door is always open.
He reiterated he could eventually, consider a career as a manager. "I stand by the idea. I'm going to try and as time goes by I like the idea better. I'm passionate about football," he replied.
And he acknowledged that Guardiola is his role model. "It's a mirror. For me, it was a motivation. We had a great team," he said, when asked by his former coach at Barcelona.
It seems clear, therefore, that in a period of about five years we will see Andres Iniesta on the bench. And maybe we'll see some competition with Xavi Hernandez, who was his partner in mischief in midfield. Or maybe even a partnership?
