Sofyan Amrabat was one of the discoveries of the Qatar World Cup last December. He went all the way to the semi-finals with Morocco and showed himself to be one the team's best players.
After his stellar performance, new suitors appeared for him all over Europe. Despite the attention, he stayed with Italian side Fiorentina, waiting for the summer transfer window, which now sits on our doorstep.
Nordin Amrabat, his brother and ex-Malaga player, spoke to 'Ziggo Sport' about the options facing Sofyan in his next chapter.
"I have told him that La Liga is better, and he agrees with me on this. I think it's a style of football that's better for him, where he would do better, for his strength and the tackles he makes", explained Nordin.
The former La Liga player himself even suggested a name for his brother's future, "In La Liga, Atletico Madrid appreciate him". For now, there are no new developments regarding the Moroccan's transfer, but it is true that Atletico are looking to reinforce their midfield this summer.
