Petit played a large part of his carerr at Monaco, the only French side he was at, although he also wore the shirts of Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea.
At 33, he decided to hang up his boots after playing seven matches and giving one assist in 2003-04 season at Chelsea. However, his career was full of success and experiences.
The midfielder made surprising comments to 'RMC Sport' about certain players and what he experienced in the Barca dressing room.
"I suffered racism in the Barcelona dressing room. It might sound shocking, but it was from time to time although with certain players it was quite frequent," he said.
It is not the first time Petit has attacked Barcelona because he already did so in 2015. "I arrived at a bad moment and there was a war in the dressing room. Catalan nationalism is very close to racism. As soon as I arrived, people told me not to try and learn Spanish, 'AS' claimed he said.
Petit moved to the Camp Nou after three seasons at Arsenal. He made 38 appearances and scored one goal while at the Spanish giants.
