Jean-Michel Aulas never minces his words. In the past transfer window, he spoke about the futures of players such as Depay, but this time it is to do with television rights.
"Mediapro have to pay. If they don't pay, there will have to be negotiations with other platforms. I think that finally Ligue 1 will have to move towards other media outlets because times change. In England and Germany, Amazon have got television rights to broadcast football. UEFA are arguing with Alibaba...," he said in comments which 'AS' have reported.
On what the president is proposing, Jean-Michel Aulas would create a type of platform in which users pay a fee such as 'Spotify'.
"The rules of how football are broadcast are going to be changed, but we would have to find a lowe price. What I propose is a Spotify of football or a Deezer of football. There should be an offer at an attractive price so that spectators don't have to ask themselves where they can watch the football," he concluded.
