"I'm surprised a little bit. I know everyone he was talking about, especially the Catalans who have played with me in youth team football and for Spain. They are completely different to how Petit describes them. They are excellent people. He has said in a moment and in an way in which we in the football world don't understand," he indicated.
"We know that Petit is a special person, with a very simple character and I don't understand these comments. I can say in name of that dressing room, not because I have been in it, but because I have shared a dressing room with 60 or 70% of them and none of them think like that. He is completely mistaken," he added.
Luque was one of those who attended the presentation of the charity match between the Spain national legends and the GoldStandard World Stars. It will take place on 21st December at the Wanda Metropolitano. All money collected will go towards the fight against ALS and the development of wheelchair football.
"It's a charity game, the more people that come, the more money there will be. We in the world of sport know that the media are very important and we are asking for help to give this game publicity. It is close to Christmas, but when the players knew that it was a charity match, they have all done their bit to help those most in need. "Let's see if we are all in it together," he completed.
