Patrice Evra went on 'Journal du Dimanche' to not bite, as always, his tongue. The former player and social media personality was asked about who should win the Ballon d'Or on 29th November.
"This Ballon d'Or goes to Kante or Jorginho. They deserve it. I don't understand people who say they are only midfielders. They won everything and played a big part in these triumphs. If Jorginho didn't win it, it would be an injustice," he said.
Evra was clear in his words when he said he is "sick of giving the Ballon d'Or to Messi": "Last year he won the Copa America, but with Barcelona he did nothing.
In his last big interview with the newspaper 'Sport', Messi said that it would be "extraordinary" to win the Ballon d'Or, but that if he doesn't win it, nothing would happen because, for him, the best award this year has been to lift the Copa America with Argentina.

Henry stays with Benzema
For his part, Henry leaned more towards the idea that the winner should be Benzema: "Let's be realistic, I hope he can win it. Lewandowski would have been chosen in 2020 if the award had not been cancelled".
The former striker did not rule out Chelsea's Jorginho either because he "won everything" and thus becomes a clear candidate to take the big prize for the best footballer in the world.
Just over ten days before the winner is announced, opinions are very mixed. Jorginho has already admitted that he voted for himself because he wants to have one, while Benzema himself said it is a "dream" and that he is not far from it.
