Eduardo Camavinga, Real Madrid's new signing, looked enthusiastic about playing for 'Los Blancos' and claimed on his unveiling as a new Madrid player, that he never had second thoughts about signing because signing for Real is his "childhood dream".
"Honestly, the first reason for me to sign for Real Madrid is to accomplish my childohood dream. When I knew I could sign for Madrid, I didn't thought it twice."- claimed in his first press conference for his new club. "When I knew I was going to be a Real Madrid player I felt really happy. I have been thinking about my family, all the struggles we faced and how proud I am of sharing this moment with all of them."- he added.
When the French youngster talks about struggles, he means the fact that he was born in a refugee camp in Angola trying to run away from the war or how his house got burnt down back in Lille when he was just eleven. "It is quite obvious that running away from the war has made me stronger, however I believe that my family is the main factor that helped me the most and when I'm on the pitch, I play for them."
Camavinga looked enthusiastic and even claimed: "I'm really happy. This is one of the best days of my life, only comparable to when I got my first call-up and gametime for France."He also highlighted how his first memory of the club is the "Los Galacticos" team: Real Madrid playing in the Champions League with Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo...all the great players that have played for this team."
"I've though this decision very well. The whole thing was done in the last days of the transfer market, but it is a secret who I talked to and who din't I talk to."- he added about how he choose Real Madrid. "I'm not in charge of the transfers, I just focus on football and it's only been this past couple of weeks when I talked to Madrid."
