The former Manchester United defender weighed in once more after Jurgen Klopp responded to his criticism of Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius.

Gary Neville has continued his war of words over Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius, reacting to criticism from Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.

Neville had slated the goalkeeper for his blunder against Bournemouth more than a week ago, but hostilities have not died down between the former Manchester United defender and Liverpool, after Klopp became the latest person to get involved.

The Reds manager defended his goalkeeper against Neville's criticism, while also attacking the pundit for his failed coaching stint at Valencia.

"In my first press conference I spoke about English media, and the pundits, the former players, forgot completely how it felt when they get criticised," Klopp told reporters.

"Especially the Neville brothers. I have to say the one who was a manager, he obviously should know that too much criticism never helps but he's not interested in helping a Liverpool player I can imagine."

However, Neville was not backing down, and took to Twitter to issue a response to the latest comments.

The 41-year-old defended his ability to recognise player talent, writing "I'm not a chef but I know a good steak!"

Your move, Jurgen.
