On Sunday, the biggest game of the World Cup will take place in Qatar. Argentina will face France in the fight to win their third World Cup as both teams have two.
Ahead of the final, Tigres UANL striker Andre-Pierre Gignac put the fact he was French to one side and told 'FOX Sports' that he wants to see Lionel Messi win the tournament.
"I'm French, but I'd love Messi to win the World Cup as he deserves it because of his career, but we'll see. He behaves like a leader of a team with lots of character," he said.
"Messi is a leader in Argentina, they want Argentina to win the World Cup because of Messi, you have to say it as it is," the French striker insisted on Saturday when asked who he would support.
